LifeforceJazz is a cultural enrichment program established by Bilalian Educational Services, Inc., a nonprofit organization specializing in human services and cross-cultural education since 1977. The program began during the early 1990's in collaboration with the World Stage Performance Gallery in Los Angeles, CA. Initially, LifeforceJazz was a performance ensemble of varied personnel assembled to premier new and original works by jazz composers. Jazz artists Billy Higgins and Dawan Muhammad developed the concept into a mentoring program for bringing jazz legends and unsung jazz heroes together with younger upcoming jazz stars, which eventually led to the professional collective of jazz artists that we have today. In addition to further developing our catalog of innovative recordings, the long-range goal of LifeforceJazz is to establish a worldwide network and circuit of community based cultural organizations dedicated to education, promotion and presentation of jazz as an alternative to venues established primarily for commercial entertainment.

So what? Congrats to Eddie Henderson on his new release for Eighty-Eighty/Columbia! Eddie is definitely among today's most sought after trumpeters and we are proud of the fact that throughout his entire discography, some of his most creative solos can be heard on three LifeForcejazz CDs.
Lately, we have received compliments and inquiries about our CD packaging services, so those of you who have taken favorable notice of the LifeForcejazz look, we acknowledge and credit Yee's Brain Design for matching visual ideas to audio concepts.
