LFJ started as an artists collective operating under the umbrella of Bilalian Educational Services, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
Our primary mission is to assist jazz artists and/or producers with independent production, promotion and distribution of music and video products.
Headquartered in Northern California, LFJ establishes collective bargaining agreements with individual artists and independent jazz record labels, interested in cutting production costs and expanding distribution potential. We have a Board of Advisors consisting of diverse professionals with special knowledge and/or experience in the art of jazz and the music industry.
We are dedicated to preserving jazz as an American art form and cultural tradition, so, our services usually appeal to independent producers sharing similar aesthetic values and the desire to be part of a unique catalog.
We also feature an extensive jazz education component including private music lessons, public lecture-demonstrations and concerts.
